He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred Bates; his parents, Marvin Wolverton and Grace Chamblee Wolverton; and his siblings, Billy Wolverton, Harold Wolverton, Paul Wolverton and Lanette Ezelle.
He is survived by: his siblings, Eddie Wolverton (Jane) and Mary Wolverton Lang; and his siblings-in-law, Ray Ezelle (Bobbie) and Rachel Wolverton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Milling Funeral Home of Union (23477 MS-15, Union, MS 39365). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Gideon's International, or Parkway Heights United Methodist Church, 2420 Hardy St, Hattiesburg, MS 39401.
