He is survived by: his wife Anita Voss Souderes; his children, Rhonda Souderes Clifton (David Clifton) and George F. Souderes, III (Cassie Souderes); his sisters, Virginia S. Brown of Pearl and Toni S. Danser (Doug) of Lexington, SC.; his grandchildren, Julia Stevens, Matthew Souderes, Robby Nolan, Leah Stevens (Nash Sanders), Anna Stevens (Garrett Robinson), Davilyn Clifton, Elizabeth Logue (Daniel) and Rhiannon Clifton; and his great grandchildren, Easton Souderes, Matthew Sanders, KayLynn Logue and Brennan Logue.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Mary Basilica Capitol Campaign or American Diabetes Association.
