She was predeceased by: her husband F. D. Slawson; her parents, Luther Sturch and Ethel Sturch; and her sister Francis Gousse. She is survived by: her children, Rita Fulton (Bob) and Frankie Slawson (Brenda); her grandsons, Robert Fulton (Brandy), Justin Slawson (Amy) and Gene Downey (Mickie); her great grandchildren, Jaylee Fulton, Brayden Slawson, Graham Slawson, Angela Gartman and Danleigh Weaver; and her sister Inez Dempsey Ms.
