He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Ruth Porter Spears; his parents, Odie J. Spears, Sr. and Loka Pearl Warren Spears; and his sisters, Kate Houston and Frances Rainer.
He is survived by: his children, Emily Allen (Kenny) of Collinsville and Alan Spears (Dana) of Union; his grandchildren, Jacob, Samantha, Samuel Spears, Remington, Ivey Rickles, Cooper, Cambree Allen, Kendal, Kendan and Kent Allen; and his siblings, Carolyn Chunn, Helen Guthrie and Jackie Spears. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, friends.
