He was predeceased by: his parents, Nannie Mae Polk Cassel and William P. Cassel. He is survived by: his wife Melvya Landrum Cassel; and his children, Scott Cassel (Patti), Kristen Caldwell (Johnny), Merrill Cassel (Amy) and Amanda McNiel (Steve). He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
