She was predeceased by: her brother Andy Franklin Thornton; and her parents, Robert Franklin Thornton and Violet Leavell Thornton. She is survived by: her husband Jesus Castro of Vancleave; her daughters, Morgan Danielle Shiyou (Steven) of Ocean Springs and Zamna Castro Briceno (Cristopher) of Long Beach; her grandchildren, Bella Castro of Long Beach, Reece, Ryder Shiyou and Remy Rose Shiyou of Ocean Springs; and her sister Rebecca Hennessey (Bill) of Ocean Springs.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home - Vancleave (4901 Jim Ramsay Rd, Vancleave, MS 39565). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
