He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Vernon L. Smith and Alice Maxine Smith; and his brother Larry Smith. He is survived by: his former wife Tina Smith of Vancleave; his children, Jonathan Smith (Kelley) of Vancleave and Melissa (Derek) of Brooklyn; his grandchildren, Emily, Addy Smith, Brayden, Dalylah and Brendyn Ladner; and his sister-in-law Linda Smith of Union. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
