He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Weires and Nellie Weires; his former wife Frances Joan Weires; and his brother James Weires. He is survived by: his wife Anita Stewart Speight; and his children, Mary Sue Engelkemier (Weires), John Weires, Steve Weires, Jay Speight, Karen Frado (Speight) and Glen Speight. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.
