He was predeceased by: his parents, Juett Lester, Sr. and Hattie Mann Lester; his wife Gale Baker Lester; his sisters, Anna Collums, Diane Parker, Erlene Collums, Shirley Wright and Dixie "Duck" Cannon; his granddaughter Sumar Nicole Lester; and his great grandchild Andrew Lester.
He is survived by: his sons, Tommy Lester (Debbie) of Vardaman, Dewey Lester (Heather) of Vardaman and Stacey Lester (Shirley) of Vardaman; his sister Nancy Carolyn Mitchell of Derma; and his grandchildren, Dewayne Lester, Catlin Lester, James Smith, Ashley Martin, Derrica Bronson, DC, Lester, Brandon Lester, Tyler Lester and Jospeh Lester. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
