With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger Dale Hodnett of Vardaman, Mississippi, who passed away on August 31, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Roger may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoskin Hodnett and Ruby Criddle Hodnett; and his siblings, Thomas Hodnett, Lester Hodnett and Brenda Darlene Pettit.
He is survived by: his sisters, Shirley Ann Davis of Houston and Ruby Nell Morton Hendrick of Mayhew; and his brother-in-law Steve Pettit of Houston. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
