He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Elvis Murphree and Vivian Octavia Davidson Murphree; and his siblings, Ruby Maxine Spratlin, Sid Murphree and Kenneth Murphree.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his son Randy Murphree of Palm Spring, CA; his siblings, Marjorie Murphree Collier, Barbara Ann Lafayette (Charles), Travis Murphree (Kathy), Jimmy Murphree (Carol) and Jerry Murphree (Valda); his grandchildren, Logan Ryan Murphree and Zachary Sterlin Murphree; and his brother-in-law Bobby Spratlin.
