With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Walter Fred Edmundson Jr. of Vardaman, Mississippi, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Walter left this world on April 27, 2026 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Tott Melton Edmundson; his daughter Wanda Gail Edmundson; his parents, Walter Fred Edmundson Sr. and Minnie Fleming Edmundson; and his siblings, Wesley Edmundson, Louise Carson, Lavern Wooten and Polly Keeton.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Holloway (David) of Vardaman, MS and Walt Edmundson (Paula) of Vardaman, MS; his sister Catherine Lee of Woodlands, TX.; and his caregivers, Christine Clemmons, Angie Vance, Bevarly Wofford, Pat Clay, Angie Ewing and Linda Daniels. He is also survived by his 4 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that any memorial contributions be made to the Freddie Edmundson Scholorship foundation at Vardaman High School. All donations can be made at any Cadence Bank location.
