She was predeceased by: her parents, Clark J. Wright and Annie Laura Wright. She is survived by: her brother Shelby Green Wright; her daughters, Teadra N. Gasaway (Khalid) and Tashena Gasaway Butler (Frank); her grandchildren, Kamaria J. Drummond, Landen J. Butler, Amya R. Butler, Stedmon Lemon, Khaliyah Abdullah and Khalid Abdullah Jr.; her brother Stanley Jackson Wright (Sally); her cousins, Lisa Wiley (JD), Shelby Lauderdale and Dorothy Peters; and her siblings-in-law, Mitchell Gasaway (Gloria), Eddie Clay, Mary Francis Gasaway and Cecelia Ann Gasaway. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chandler Temple C. M. E Church (114 Holloway Ave, Verona, MS 38879). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Second Baptist M. B. Church (188 Martin Luther King Ave, Tupelo, MS 38879).
