It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Onis Harris II of Verona, Mississippi, who passed away on August 30, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Marvin has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin O. Harris, Sr. and Geraldine Clemons Harris; his brother Jim-Chris Harris (Chelsea Harris Dufrene) of Brusly; and his father-in-law Douglas Smith. He is survived by: his wife Melissa; his mother-in-law Katheryn Marteil Bell of Tupelo; his brother-in-law Brandon of Baton Rouge; and his great-niece Sylvie Dufrene. He is also survived by nephew and niece, the children.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo (5281 Cliff Gookin Blvd, Tupelo, MS 38801).
