He is survived by: his wife Nora Kelly Butts; his daughters, Kelsie Butts and Kayden Butts; his siblings, Waverly M. Butts (Ann) and Janet M. Rotkiewicz (Pete); and his sister-in-law Faye Butts.

In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to Northside Baptist Church in his memory.
