She was predeceased by: her parents, Verlie Leland Sheffield and Ophelia Talley Sheffield (John); her daughter-in-law Melissa (Collins); and her grandson Micheal Galen Collins. She is survived by: her husband John G. Collins; her children, Standen Sheffield Collins (Lori Hackler-Collins) of Vicksburg and William Gault Collins of Clinton; her grandchildren, Tristan Howell Collins, John Michael Collins and Kristen Danielle Rennhack; her great grandchild Rowan Michael Rennhack; and her sister Linda M. Sheffield. She is also survived by extended family, friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Glenwood Funeral Home (145 US-80, Vicksburg, MS 39180). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
