He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Matthew Landers, Sr. and Mary Ivey Landers; his children, Charles Byrden Landers, Jr. and Cynthia Landers; his siblings, Wilard Richard Landers, Samuel Matthew Landers, Jr., Edward Morris Landers and Louise Landers McHan; and his grandson William Andy Edwards.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Sue Busby and Sherry Ann Landers Oglesby; his brother Harvey E. Landers Sr. (Amelia Lamae Allen); his grandsons, Kenneth Howell, Eric Howell (Rebecca), Michael Busby (Leslie), Christopher Landers and Carlos Landers; and his great grandchildren, Kaiden Busby, Makalyn Busby, Lis Landers, Cameron Howell and Kambria Howell. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wayside Baptist Church (6151 Jeff Davis Rd, Vicksburg, MS 39180). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at the Wayside Baptist Church Cemetery (6151 Jeff Davis Rd, Vicksburg, MS 39180).
