It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas McArthur White of Vicksburg, Mississippi, who passed away on August 16, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethan Allen White and Addie Estelle Moore White; his parents-in-law, Virgil Lamar Massey and Stella Vick Massey; and his siblings-in-law, Kenneth Richardson, Jim Matheney, Jack Bragg, Rayford Massey, Raymond Massey, Bob Harper, Willie Maskew, Ardis Harper, Billie Harper, Audrey Maskew, Ilene Massey and Edna Massey.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Massey White; his daughter Christie White-Hale; his grandchildren, Huntington Hale (Claire), RaeMassey Hale (Bradley Grammer) and Addie Rudd (Austin); his great grandchildren, Olivia Hale, Avery Rudd and Russell Grammer; his siblings, Faye Richardson, Morgan White, Tina Matheney and Mary Lou Thornton; and his siblings-in-law, Ronnie Massey and Katie Bragg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
