He is survived by: his wife Myra Johnson; his children, Jim McCool (Mandy), Johnny Ray Johnson, Jr., Heather (Lynn Miller), Patty (Tommy Guimbellot) and Melissa Moore; and his sisters, Angela Johnson and Cynthia Hosea.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Richmond Community Center (602 Wood St, Richmond, LA 71282).
