It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Montie Catherine Phelps (Vicksburg, Mississippi), born in Oxford, Mississippi, who passed away on June 20, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Dudley Harris and Mary Elrod Harris. She is survived by: her children, R. C., Kathy Phelps, James Edward Phelps, Sr., Willie Mae Cantin, David Wayne, Stephanie Phelps, Leroy and Patty Phelps. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews plus extra children.

There will be no memorial or visitation due to Covid-19.
