He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Lauderdale and Jane Lauderdale; and his stepson Robert Shannon "Shan" Woods. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lauderdale; his daughter Marley Lauderdale; his stepdaughter Tonya Woods; his siblings, Vicki Blackwell, Denise Grigas (Steve), Steve Lauderdale (Wendy) and James "Bubba" Lauderdale (Lisa); and his grandson Shawn Woods (Hanna). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
