He was predeceased by: his parents, James Noel Bell and Marcella Ramzy Bell; his wife Mary Louise Sartor Bell (Wessie); his siblings, Beth Bell Crumby (John Crumby) and Thomas Arnold Bell; and his grandson Robert Michael Bell.

He is survived by: his children, Lisa Bell Davis of Oxford, Lauri Bell Butt (David) of Mobile, AL and James Michael (Mike); his grandchildren, Jamie Carr of Oxford, MS, Alyssa Thomas (Graham) of Hattiesburg, MS, Shelby Bell of Birmingham, AL, Tony Butt (Katie) of Mobile, AL, Mary Bell (Jarrius Kizer) of Henderson, TN, Caitlin Butt of Nashville, TN, Michael Bell of Nashville, TN and Ramsey Bell of Birmingham, AL.; his great grandchildren, William Carr, Olivia Carr of Oxford, MS, Noah Nelson of Birmingham, AL and Aria Kizer of Henderson, TN.; and his siblings-in-law, Clyde Sartor (Barbara) of Vicksburg, Mike Sartor (Paula) of Water Valley and Vicki Bell of Water Valley. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and numerous friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Seven Oaks Funeral Home and Cremation Services (12760 Hwy 32, Water Valley, MS 38965). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (7030 Delay Rd, Water Valley, MS 38965).
