Jason Mooney Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jason Mooney (Water Valley, Mississippi), who passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Clinton Mooney; and his grandparents, Riley, Lillie Mooney, Ira "Bill" and Mary Ellen Potts.
He is survived by: his mother Mary Katherine Mooney of Water Valley, MS; his brother Rickey Mooney of Oxford, MS; his children, Drew Mooney (Jenn) and Lillie-Kate Mooney of Water Valley, MS; his granddaughters, Everleigh Mooney, Alexandria and Lily Brock; his sibling's children, Sarah Vance (Jeremy) and Taylor Mooney (Micah); and his wife Jeannie Myers. He is also survived by cousins, aunts, and uncles, as well as many friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Anchor Baptist Church (1009 MS-7, Water Valley, MS 38965). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Anchor Baptist Church Cemetery of Building Fund.
