He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewitt Talmadge Long, Sr. and Verda Long; and his siblings, Talmadge Long, Leo Long, Mary Nell Prince, Pauline Foxworth, Myrtle Holcomb and Mattie McIlwian.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Long of Waynesboro, MS; his sons, Kevin Long (Shelly) of Hattiesburg, MS and Albert Richard "Jojo" Long (Tammy) of Petal, MS; his sisters, Annie Lou Griffith of Waynesboro, MS, Geneva Kelly of Waynesboro, MS and Verda Voncille "Bonnie" Long of Waynesboro, MS; his grandchildren, Brian Long (Angel), Jacob Long, Brady Long, Joshua Long and Karsen Long; and his great grandchildren, Grace Long and Jonah Long. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
