The memory of Albert R. Shirah Sr. of Waynesboro, Mississippi, who passed away on July 22, 2025 at the age of 83, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Shirah and Geneva Langhauser; his stepparents, Allean Shirah and Hank Langhauser; and his brothers, Timothy Shirah and Infant Brother Shirah.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Jean Shirah; his children, Albert R. Shirah, Jr. (KyLeigh) of Waynesboro, MS and Hazel Camardelle (Jay) of Gretna, LA; his siblings, Alton Shirah of Louisiana, Anthony Shirah of Louisiana and Tamsey Cochran of Louisiana; and his grandchildren, Jenifer Donham (Mike), Shelly Grubb (Zach), Joshua Rivet (Niki), Destiny Wylie (Dallas), Albert Shirah, III (Mackenzie), Meorie Johnson (Drake), Parker Knotts (Joshua), Heidi Odom and Alex Odom. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Freeman Funeral Home Chapel (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A burial will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at the Corinth Cemetery.
