He was predeceased by: his parents, Columbus "Tip" Cooley and Estelle Cooley; his wife Minnie Lee Cooley; and his brother Clinton Cooley. He is survived by: his children, Danny Cooley (Venessa), David Cooley (Tracy) and Sheila Sharkey (Rex) of Waynesboro, MS; his grandchildren, Rashae Edwards, Colby Cooley, Channing Cooley, Ragan Beasley, Reid Cooley, Colton Sharkey and Savannah Boyd; and his great grandchildren, Talon Cooley, Maylen Cooley, Maddox Cooley, Cayden Grace Beasley, Remi Claire Beasley, Ryker Bagley, Mary Maecyn Edwards, Charlie Kate Cooley, Beck Cooley, Cheston Grant Sharkey and Stevie Rae Boyd.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home Chapel (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at the Corinth Cemetery.
