He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Heap and Nancy Heap; his former wife Jewel Barnett Heap; his brother Robert Heap; and his stepson Gary Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Heap of Waynesboro, MS; his children, Donald Heap (Annie) of Shubuta, MS, Joseph Heap (Kathy) of Huntington Beach, CA, Chellie Robinson (Mark) of Canton, TX, Perian Lund (Poul Erik), Odense and Denmark; and his stepsons, Tim Martin of Buckatunna, MS and Ronnie Martin of Mobile, AL. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
