He was predeceased by: his parents, Hance C. Loper and Merle Loper; and his son Ryan Loper. He is survived by: his children, Cain Loper (Dora), Boone Loper (Amy) and Kasi Pugh; his stepdaughter Holly Sherman (Timathy); his grandchildren, Dylan Pugh (Savanah), Damon Loper (Faith Holcomb), Payge Davis (Austin), Jake Loper (Jaden), Wyatt Pugh, Charleigh Claire Loper, Cooper Sherman, Trace Loper, Kenzi Loper, Cali Loper and Kolter Loper; his siblings, Gloria Jean Langley (Leonard), Hance C. "Buddy" Loper Jr., Dian McIlwain and Jamie Loper (Dorris "Tug"); and his friend Robin "Boober" Busby (Sharon). He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). Viewing was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Cross Road Baptist Church (75 Strengthford Pleasant Grove Rd, Laurel, MS 39443). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at the Cross Road Baptist Church Cemetery (75 Strengthford Pleasant Grove Rd, Laurel, MS 39443).
