He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Jones Young and Lewis E. Young; and his siblings, Coleman Young, William A. Young, John Young, Howard Young, Hermon Young, Catherine Mooneyham and Mary Lynn Thornton.
He is survived by: his wife Joan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
