She was predeceased by: her parents, John D. Dennis and Lillie Mae Dennis; and her siblings, Pearlie Busby Brown, Johnnie Mae Douglas and L. D. Dennis.

She is survived by: her husband Dalton L. West; her daughters, Angela West and Ashley McGinty (Anthony); her grandchildren, Bryston and Briana; and her siblings, Willie Myers (Jim), Linda Cochran (Don) and Dezell Dennis (Margaret). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
