He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Theodore Taylor and Esther McIlwain Taylor; his wife Evelyn Maxine Taylor; his son Lloyd E. Taylor; his daughter-in-law Sonya Taylor; his brothers, Henry Taylor and Infant Taylor; his grandson Jeremy Davenport; and his stepgranddaughter Stacie Abston.
He is survived by: his children, James E. Taylor (Rosella) of Buckatunna, MS and Paula Davenport of McLain, MS; his stepchildren, David Beasley of Millry, AL and Linda Abston of Waynesboro, MS; his sister Mary Beasley of Wayne County, MS; his grandchildren, Joshua Davenport, Kody Taylor and Keri Burgess; and his stepgrandchildren, Jana McLain, Jalin Beasley and Jessie Abston. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
