He was predeceased by : his parents, Lee Cook and Rebecca Cook; his siblings, Milton Cook, Hershel Cook, Martha Overby and Hilda Morris; and his granddaughter Amy Hartley.
He is survived by : his wife Barbara Melvin Cook; his children, James Cook, Jr. (Maxine) of Eucutta, MS, Wanda Hartley of Nesbit, MS and Sherry Harwell (Paul) of Heidelberg, MS; his grandchildren, Michael Cook, Daniel Cook, Burke Hartley, Amanda Joy Hartley, Bethany Riley (Matthew) and Emily Harwell; and his great grandchildren, Austin Cochran, Elaina Riley and Barrett Riley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
