Teresa left this world on October 14, 2025 at the age of 62, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Teresa leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Teresa may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherwin Delaine Holifield, Sr. and Celia Hickman; her brother Sherwin Duan Holifield; her half-brother Sherwin Delaine Holifield, Jr.; and her sister Angela Delaine Hickmon.
She is survived by: her siblings, Scotty Hickman (Destinie) of Deer Park, AL, Arlene Phillips of Laurel, MS, Michelle Smith (Mike) of Waynesboro, MS and Celeta Goldman of Laurel, MS; and her half-sisters, Casondra Davis (Bruce) of Laurel, MS and Melissa Solomon (Lemuel) of Sandersville, MS. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hickmon Hill Cemetery (1158 Salem Rd, Laurel, MS 39443).
