He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Barkman and Aline Magness Barkman; and his son Hayden Lee Chandler. He is survived by: his wife Dwana Barkman; his children, David Barkman, Lauri Barkman, Elise Barkman and Aaron Barkman; his siblings, Martin Barkman, Sharon Nickles (Rich), Fran Yeutson (Ed) and Karen Williams (Mike); his grandchildren, Gentry McKenzie Chandler and Leighton Slade Chandler; his friends, Jim, Kathy Crawford and Susan Wooley; and his caregiver Stacie Rivers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beauregard Community Church.
