He was predeceased by: his parents, Ubes Pittman, Sr. and Alma Foster May; his wife Patricia "Pat" Thompson May; his son-in-law Greg Wamble; and his siblings, Katherine Dill, Ophelia Young, Mary Ellen Byrd, Ubes May, Jr., W. J. May, Cecil May and Eugene May.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vicki M. Wamble of West Point and Vera M. Gasparini (Joe) of Winter Springs; his granddaughters, Lauren Gasparini of Winter Springs, Molly Gasparini (Connor O'Neill) of Denver and Allyn Wamble of New York; and his sisters-in-law, Jimmie Hollingsworth of West Point, Betty May of West Point, Norma Thompson of Montpelier and Linda May of Macon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Calvert Funeral Home (27600 E Main St, West Point, MS 39773). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Calvert Funeral Home Chapel (27600 E Main St, West Point, MS 39773).
