She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Myers and Rosa Grissom Myers; and her son Michael Oren Matthews. She is survived by: her husband Dale J. Matthews; her sister Norma Clardy of West Point, MS.; her children, Ronald Lee Matthews of Bessemer, Tamara Rose Matthews Clark (Edwin) of West Point, MS and Kenneth Dale Matthews (Betsy) of Brandon, MS; her nephew Rick Stafford (Alice); her great grandchild Christian Wilson; her grandson Edward Wilson Jr.; her nephews, John Clardy and Eddie Clardy; and her friend Dave Burleson. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Faith Baptist Church (3695 E Church Hill Rd, West Point, MS 39773). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family kindly asks that donations be made in her memory to Faith Baptist Church 3695 East Church Hill Rd West Point, MS 39773, a place that brought her joy and spiritual comfort throughout her life.
