He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Hurst and Joseph DeSantis. He is survived by: his wife Louann DeSantis of West Point; his sons, DeSantis, Jr. (Rebecca) of West Point and David M. DeSantis (Jodie); his sister Darby Suess of Ohio; his grandchildren, Luke DeSantis, Jane DeSantis, Dylan DeSantis and Drew DeSantis; and his nephews, John Suess (Holly) and Adam Suess (Michelle).
