He was predeceased by: his father Birl Nichols Higginbotham; his son Michael Ray Higginbotham; his brother James Edward Higginbotham; and his grandson Jacob Kade Holmes. He is survived by: his wife Linda Higginbotham of West Point; his children, DeWayne Higginbotham of Houston and Michelle Moore (Larry) of Calhoun City; his siblings, Kenneth Higginbotham (Lois) of West Point and Ruth Ann Reedy (Don) of Vardaman; his stepchildren, Linda Holmes of Bridge City, TX, Cindy Mitchell of Mauriceville, TX and Terry McAdams of Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Teletha Rowzee (Tony), Jessica Laster (Chris), Colt Moore (Candace), Magnolia Higginbotham, Deidre McAdams, Kelly Young, Sky Mitchell and Paige Holmes. He is also survived by thirty-six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
