She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Carey and Wilma Laurene Johnson Wright; her husband Douglas Lamar Dendy; and her sister Charlsie Hulon Wright. She is survived by: her daughter Christi Carter (Steve) of Starkville; her grandchildren, Stevi Carter (Jeremy) of Starkville and Cole Carter (Candance) of Birmingham; her sisters, Doni Wright Lucius and Judy Gilliland of West Point; her nieces, Laurie Stephenson of Smithville and Jill Middleton (Carl) of West Point; and her nephew Jason Gilliland (Mary Ann) of West Point.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calvert Funeral Home (27600 E Main St, West Point, MS 39773). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pine Bluff Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials may be made to Pine Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Betty McNeel; 3127 Colony Road, Mantee, Mississippi 39751.
