As Richard departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Richard. Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Carey, Jr. and Sarah Mary Whalen Richardson; and his sister Mary Elizabeth "Betty" McCarter (Thomas Wilburn). He is survived by: his wife Dawn Richardson of West Point; his son Brian Carey Richardson (Lauren) of Orlando; his nieces, Carey Elizabeth McCarter and Suzan Carole McCarter; and his great-nephew Thomas Christopher McCarter of West Point.
