He was predeceased by: his parents, Ubes Pittman May Sr. and Alma Foster May; his granddaughter Heather May Catchings; his children-in-law, Myra May and Roger Huffman; and his siblings, Katherine Dill, Mary Ellen Byrd, Ophelia Young, William May, Eugene May and Cecil May.
He is survived by: his wife Janice T. May; his children, Kathy Marshall (Jim) of West Point and Keith May of Starkville; his grandchildren, Jana Haggard (Rick) of Mooreville, Lisa Read (Josh) of Columbus, Brittany Mayo (Ethan) of Charlotte, Mark Huffman of West Point, Jimmy Marshall (Heather) of Murfreesboro and Jared Marshall (Rachel) of Dayton, Tennessee; his great grandchildren, Alex Haggard, Hadley Read, Callie Marshall, Ava Haggard, Lexi Read, Jolyn Marshall and Jacob Marshall; his brother Adrian May; and his siblings-in-law, Betty May, Linda May and Glenn Thomas (Betty). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
