He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley Wells and Nell Tyson Wells. He is survived by: his wife Mary Joe Wells of West Point; his children, Wilkes Wells of West Point and Jennifer Wells Wofford of Starkville; and his brother Walter William Wells.
