He was predeceased by: his mother Roberta Harper Blount; his wife Louise Nichols Blount; his sons-in-law, Allen Sanders, George Levingston and Trey Collins; and his granddaughter Michelle Blount.
He is survived by: his father John N. Blount; his children, James, Melinda Cauley (Paul) of Kosciusko, Lisa Sanders, Elizabeth "Libby" Levingston of West, Lea McCool (Billy) of West and Leslie Atwood (Kade) of Kosciusko, Mississippi; his grandchildren, Hope Lowe (Amie) of Paula Collins, D. J., Kayla Sanders, Michael Sanders (Jessica), Benjamin Harman, Jonathon Harman, Hunter Harman, Andrew McCool, Alex McCool, Lyndell Suratt (Cayla) and Hannah Johnson (Ty); his great grandchildren, Macie Collins, Maddy Collins, Parker K. Blount, Haylee Sanders, Bentley Sanders, Knox Allen, Elizabeth Johnson (Liza Jayne), Lucy Louise Johnson and Emmy Ryan Lee; and his pet Lady.
