With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Dreher Bobo in Whitfield, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2026 at the age of 72. He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Bobo and Doris "Elaine" Bobo; his siblings, Todd Bobo, Diane Bishop and Betsy Elliott; and his close friends, Jeannie Rush and Rodney Thompson.
He is survived by: his brothers-in-law, John Elliott and Watt Bishop; and his sibling's children, Lori Bobo Whitfield (Charlie), Hannah Whitfield, Madison Whitfield, Taylor Case, Azalea Gibb, Todd Bobo, Lyndon Bobo, Brian Bobo (Sunni), Hawke Bobo, Aiden, Jaxon Thompson and Beau Gibb (Cambria).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (318 S Court St, Cleveland, MS 38732). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 11:45 AM at the Beevers Cemetery (1402 N Bayou Rd, Cleveland, MS 38732).
