He was predeceased by: his parents, Lula Mae Johnson of Wiggins, MS and Alex McCray Sr. of Hattiesburg, MS.; his wife Joyce Arrington; his son Alfredo McCray; and his siblings, Eloise McCray, Letha McCray, Evon "Sally" McCray, Shirley McCray and Melvin'Puncho" McCray.
He is survived by: his son Christopher McCray; his granddaughter Shameah McCray of Wiggins, MS; his siblings, Purnell McCray, Terry McCray, Robert, Bobby McCray, Merlene McCray, Cynthia Johnson, Sharon Johnson and Sanether Johnson; his aunt Barbera Ann McCray-Davidson; and his uncle Sam.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Welcome Hill Baptist Church (709 E Central Ave, Wiggins, MS 39577). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at the same location.
