He was predeceased by: his wife Elsie Mae Cooley (Toney); his parents, Ess Cooley and Stella Cooley; his siblings, Gladys Fay Walters, Billy Ray Cooley and Charles Austin Cooley; and his grandson Nicholas Ryan Cooley.
He is survived by: his sisters, Francis Flanagan, JoAnn Smith and Diane Lambert; and his children, Peggy Renee' Walters (Cooley), Janice Eloise Mallett (Cooley) and Bobby Joe Cooley, Jr.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
