He is survived by : his children, Alton Mitchell, Vernon C. Mitchell (Sandy Barron), Alan Mitchell, Kathy Morgan (Rodney) and Jessica Lee (Stephen); and his siblings, Robert "Bob" Mitchell, Carolyn Hawthorn and Marilyn Mitchell. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
