He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Rath and Elsie Rath; his brother T. C. Rath; and his son-in-law Forrest Charles Phillips, Jr.. He is survived by : his wife Jeanette Rath; his children, Pamela Rath Phillips of Oxford, MS and Steven Todd Rath of Birmingham, AL; his grandchildren, Forrest Charles "Chip" Phillips III (Mary Katherine), Henry Claiborne "Clay" Phillips (Allison), Steven Willis "Will" Rath (Silvia Suarez) and Makenzie Rath Waid (James); his brother Alfred; and his sister-in-law Pat Rath. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
