He is survived by : his father Melton Issac Hatten; his children, Todd Hatten (Mim) of Wiggins, Quent Hatten (Dee Dee) of Wiggins and Pam Herrington of Wiggins; his grandchildren, Kasey Lott (Clint), Clint Hatten, Becca Anderson (Zachary), Jake Hatten (Madison), Karly Phillips (Peyton), Karsen Cochran, Kyler Herrington and Kaden Herrington; his sister Betty Jo Dixon of Beckley; and also Walter "Bud" Hatten of Wiggins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
