She was predeceased by: her husband Zacchaeus Rigby; her parents, Alma S. Myers and Lloyd Clell Shimp; her stepfather Harvey Myers; her siblings, Billy Shimp and Carolyn McCardle; her half-brother Clell Edward Shimp; and her daughter-in-law Deonne Palmer Rigby.
She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth Rigby (Deborah) of Carnes, Joseph Rigby (Ruth Ann) of Canton, Billy Rigby (Denise) of Purvis and Michael Rigby (Christie) of Brooklyn; her grandchildren, Zachary Rigby (Mederra) of Ellisville, Brian Rigby (Ellie) of Winnipeg, Katy Rigby (Elizabeth Rigby) of Hattiesburg, Misty Burge (Kevin) of Purvis, Philip Rigby (Rae) of Purvis, Andrew Rigby of Santa Ana, Jacob Rigby (Katelyn) of Purvis, Rebekah Hester (Tyler) of Brooklyn and Eryn Brady (Christina) of Hattiesburg; and her great grandchildren, Leyla, Kenalee, Grayson, Hunter, Wade, McKenna, Kayson, Zoey, Bennett, Austin, Julia Rose, Jayden and Karson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Service - Wiggins (1115 W College Ave, Wiggins, MS 39577). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at the Shattles Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to First Responders of Mississippi, an organization that provides resources to our first responders in their greatest time of need.
